Projects

Over the past nine years, we have drawn thousands of people to the park with large community events, encouraging new and off-season usage. In addition, LAPP has raised over $500,000 to implement aesthetic, functional, and accessibility improvements at the park. Visit soon to see what some TLC has accomplished!

Everyone Plays! Project

The Everyone Plays! Project is a new inclusive playground addition near the beach at beautiful Lake Antoine Park. Initiated by Lake Antoine Park Partners, it was built in two phases between 2025 and 2026. Funding came from several grants and hundreds of generous donations from our community, our "village", near and far. The new playground is open year round and features a concrete accessible parking area, a synthetic turf safety surface, and free standing inclusive play equipment for ALL ages and ALL abilities. No sitting on the sidelines- everyone enjoys the benefits of play, barrier free!

PHASE II WAS FULLY FUNDED IN 2026! THANK YOU TO ALL DONORS! CHECK OUT THE PHOTO GALLERY BELOW!

Lake Antoine Park Community Playground

The Lake Antoine Park Partners recognized the need for a more accessible play space at Lake Antoine Park in Dickinson County. For this reason, set our sights on creating an accessible playground for all ages and abilities to enjoy.

The updated playground added 4,000 square feet to the existing play structure at the park. A cushioned synthetic turf surface underlaid the equipment. New paved handicapped parking spaces have been added, as well as a concrete sidewalk connecting the play space to the Beach House restrooms.

Additions to the playground included two zero-transfer pieces, meaning a wheelchair user can roll right onto the equipment to use it. Sensory panels, communication boards, a music station and other accessible playground equipment were added to provide users with a variety of motions and sensory input. It is our dream that all generations will be able to utilize this space and enjoy Lake Antoine Park together.

Click our Everyone Plays! donation link to learn how you can help upkeep and improve the accessible playground. Thank you for making this dream a reality!
