Description
Thanks for learning more about our 2025/2026 project: The “Everyone Plays!” Lake Antoine Park Playground Project. We have broken the project into Phase I (2025 Swing & Music Areas) and Phase II (2026 Spin and Rock Area). Each phase will cost approximately $150,000-225,000. Phase I was completed in 2025, and we’re currently fundraising for Phase II, the 2026 Spin and Rock area.
- Two no-transfer play structures (one to swing and one to spin) allow for wheelchair users to swing and spin without needing to transfer from their mobility device
- 4000 square feet of cushioned synthetic turf surface under the equipment for maximum safety and accessibility
- Revamped accessible parking will enhance access to the beach and playground
- Concrete sidewalk connecting the playground to the Beach House restrooms, ADA picnic tables and sunset viewing area (Sunset Beach Project 2024)
- Communication panels will benefit nonverbal and mute visitors to help with easier transitions within the park
- Freestanding equipment and sensory play panels were carefully selected to include a wide variety of sensory benefits
- Color selection of equipment will be made to include visitors with visual impairments
- Traditional swings, partner swings, ADA toddler seat, and a Flexx™ swing will offer even more play options
- All ages will enticed by the Grandioso Chimes, metallophone, and drums in the Music Area!
